UX design is the discipline through which the complete experience of a person using a product or service is designed. It means more than how a product or service looks; it is about how it feels: how easily you find something you are looking for, how easily you understand what is happening at each step, and how quickly you can access something without becoming frustrated. All these things truly represent UX design, or the user experience.
UX design practically covers a person’s entire journey through a product, from the first contact to the completion of an action. It includes researching the real needs and behaviors of users (interviews, field studies, feedback analysis), structuring information so that it makes logical sense (information architecture, wireframes), designing the flows through which people complete a task (from the homepage to completing an order, for example), and continuously testing the proposed solutions (validation testing, usability testing) to confirm that they actually work for real people. UX design does not deal with the final visual appearance, such as colors, fonts, or icons; that is the role of UI (User Interface) design, which works closely with UX but is a distinct discipline.
The main goal is for people to achieve their goal easily and without problems or frustration. Whether we are talking about purchasing a product online, completing a form, or searching for information online, this should be as easy as possible for any user. Good UX design is almost invisible. The user does not spend a lot of time thinking about finding a button; it is simply there, and they press it instinctively.
The launch of a product or service does not mark the end of UX design. It is an ongoing process throughout the product’s lifecycle, evolving through gradual adjustments based on data about consumer behavior and the feedback received from customers.
